Wichita Equine Therapy Center LLc is a NOT for-profit company. Our board of directors includes professionals in the behavioral health, equine, and finance industries. We provide EAP (equine-assisted psychotherapy) and EAL (equine-assisted learning). Our staff are all certified in the Eagala methods of treatment. Hundreds of thousands of people are placed into the behavioral health world every year, either by doctors, family members, or the court systems. Many of these people will only gain minimal success in recovery with what is called talk therapy. Equine therapy is so much more. It allows any individual who is suffering from debilitating behavioral health issues to find an environment that, unlike talk therapy, is non-judgemental, unconditionally accepting, and filled with compassion. These key attributes of equine-assisted therapy are surpassing every modality of therapy in the behavioral health world. We have the opportunity to help thousands of people find inner healing that most people struggle with all of their lives. We believe that we have the solution to many problems that are faced with difficult cases in both the educational world and the behavioral health world, through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Assisted Learning.
Encounter Equine Therapy Center's mission is to empower veterans, at-risk youth, children, and adults facing addiction, PTSD, various mental health disorders, and physical disabilities through innovative equine-assisted psychotherapy. The center fosters a collaborative and experiential healing environment by combining the expertise of licensed mental health professionals and certified equine specialists. The company is dedicated to transforming lives and facilitating the reintegration of clients into society, promoting resilience and well-being. Through equine-assisted Psychotherapy, we will meet the needs of those whom the medical, social, and behavioral health worlds have given up on.
